• Optimal oral hygiene: Brush and floss your teeth diligently to prevent plaque and tartar buildup. Brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste twice daily. Floss your teeth at least once every day to clean areas where the toothbrush can’t reach.
• Attend routine dental visits: Visit your dentist twice yearly for routine check-ups and cleanings. During dental check-ups, we’ll inspect the condition of your filling and professionally clean your teeth to remove plaque from hard-to-reach areas.
• Watch what you eat: Composites can stain, so avoid coffee, red wine, berries, and other staining foods. Also, quit tobacco because it contains tar and nicotine that have staining effects.
