Over-the-Counter Teeth Whitening

Over-the-counter options aren’t part of the services we offer and are less effective than professional care. We understand that their convenience can be practical at certain times. Their results only last up to four months. The two types of products available are brush-on gels and whitening strips. It is extremely important that you carefully read the instructions for whichever product you choose and that you carefully follow instructions.

Teeth Whitening Before After

Brush-on whitening gels are peroxide-based and translucent. They are easy to apply to your teeth using a small brush. The amount you need to apply will depend on the level of the peroxide contained in the gel. You normally use the gel twice a day and results become visible within a few days, although the whole process usually takes about 10-14 days.

Whitening strips are fiber-thin and close to invisible. Like whitening gels, they are peroxide-based and must be applied twice a day. Each session lasts about 30 minutes. You generally start seeing significant changes a few days later.

Professional Teeth Whitening

We recommend having your teeth professionally whitened by your dentist. The procedure normally lasts between 30 minutes and one hour and has more lasting results up to a year. Our team offers different whitening solutions:

  • Zoom (gel application and LED whitening lamp)
  • Medical-grade hydrogen peroxide
  • Dental trays (customized by your dentist and applied at their office)

Tooth Color Restoration Procedure

This process starts with removing the decayed parts of the affected tooth to prevent further damage. Afterward, we put an acidic etching gel on the tooth enamel, which will be removed with water. Our dentist then applies a bonding agent created from liquid plastic material by using a small brush or similar applicator. We use a special curing light to harden this bonding agent. We can add the composite material (white filling) layer by layer. Finally, we will shave and polish the restoration to match the patient’s natural bite and look of the natural tooth.
